Went to replace a cap. I snipped it out. Used needlenose to hold on to the lead as I heated it up. The first one came out no problem. The second side, the lead broke off at the board. I noticed the solder pad is much smaller. I can't get this thing to budge. Looking for advice on how to get this thing out. I've added a bit more solder and used a sucker. No luck not looking to ruin the trace, but I've consider using a dremmal to drill it out.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Try using the leg of another cap. Heat and push it through. It is probably bent so it will not come up. I never desolder the pads. I lift the boards, heat and push through if they will not come out topside and do the same thing with the new parts sometimes going back and forth until seated.

I would also use a solder sucker and tweezers. Heat it up a little bit and suck out as much solder then while its hot use the tweezers or like Glip22 said use a lead to push it through while hot. Or bus wire..
