A local store has a lot of EBMM models rotating through it's stock constatntly. I've played or owned them all except for the Steve Morse models.

The Silhouette Special was my favorite EBMM until a few months ago I picked up an AXIS Super Sport with vintage trem and P90's...by far my favorite guitar I've ever played on, I haven't picked up any of my other guitars since.

I dig those P90's!
I had those on my AL, and they sounded great!

I have an EBMM 20th Anniversary Silhouette which is a stunning guitar in every way:

I agree with the other posters that if you want a shedder's guitar, the JP6 has the flat radius you need. Personally, I prefer a Fender-style radius, so the 20th fits me just right.

I've played this guitar and loved it!

I like the small necks but i do wish Ernie Ball used bigger frets. The Axis is a great rock guitar, you just have to get used to the body.

I like the Silo's but my one knock on them is the way they sound. I owned 1 which was 24 frets and 2 humbuckers which sounded ok, if a little nuetral. But other Silo's i played just lack a little something. They are more on the Strat side of tones. I guess I'm just not much a fan anymore of the 1 humbucker and 2 singles setup. Seems like the guitar makers try to match the output of the pups by using a low output bucker with the singles. Myself, i like a lot of balls from my humbucker.

I guess if i want a single coil tone I'll go with a Strat. The Petrucci's are cool and so are the Lukes. But i think the 20th anniversary Silo may be one of the better guitars they make.

BUT BILL. If that Blue Anderson was mine i doubt i would be playing anything else. That Anderson ROCKED.

I think my wife is planning on getting me a new guitar for father's day.

Please give your wife a hug for me.

On another note, my wife always tells me that if I ever cheat on her, she will hack up all my guitars, amps, effects and studio equipment... :scared:

wow that petrucci comes alive with a maple board!

That ain't no Petrucci! That's the 20th anniversary Silo. They do have a different neck from the regular Silo. It's a little wider and thinner.

Steve Morse Y2D is the best guitar EBMM makes in my opinion  NICE guitars Superunknown!

The EBMM Luke model is an awesome guitar ! Neck takes a while to get used to but once you do, you'll be wondering why you ever played anything else
