Peter,
or anyone else that can answer this,

I recently purchased a used VH4 from Glasgow, so, needless to say, this amp is rated to run using European power (240V).
I need the head to run North American Power (120v), as I live in Canada.
I may have the voltages wrong, but whatever Euro to North American conversion would be, is what I need.

Where can I purchase a transformer ? A Good Transformer? Any recommendations ? Does Diezel Sell anything like that?

Please Help!! I want to play my Diezel!!!
Thanks

Robin

is this what I'm looking for?
Can I buy a different one that's meant to go into an amplifier and get someone who works on amps to put it in? I really don't wanna be hauling this transformer around everywhere :s

How large of a transformer do I need as well?? it's 100Watt head, so the transformer has to be at least?? 250Watts? 500Watts?

i think you just need to rewire the transformer... but could be that i'm wrong... peter should tell you cause he's the master

ps: "rewire" like "change a connection at the transformer"

Since 1997 the main transformer can be rewired
on the primary to reach the voltage in the
different countries. Don´t forget to set the right
main fuse in. In USA it´s 4 amp slow blow.

Please send an email to peterdiezel (at) diezelamplification (dot) com
to get the schematic for 120 volt.

see, that's what i love about diezel... everything's easy and universal and high quality

Couldn't agree more!

Thank you so much for responding Peter!
I can't believe I have a Diezel amp on the way!!! :)

I'll email you for the schematic, again, thanks for the prompt reply with such great news! :)

Im guessing you can do this with ALL amp transformers, and other amp makers would have you believe different. One thing I respect about Papa is that he is a no Bullshit kind of guy and isnt out to lie or make more money off you by sending in your gear for an easy fix such as this. Diezel always has and always will be a class act!

Thanks for the response to my Transformer change Peter,
My Tech had no problems rewiring the Transformer :) plus, now I don't have to lug around a bulky external transformer :P that would have been dumb.

my VH4 sounds amazing :)
