I have been trying to get ahold of an all original, early Charvel Strat Head forever, mainly for sentimental reasons (I went to the factory in '80 and played several and then drooled over these guitars at GC for years before I could afford one and by then you couldn't get Strat Heads) and I've finally done it! This one is within the first 100 production guitars in '81 and features a 3 TITE (Tuck In The Electronics) pickup combination and brass v-trem. The guitar is in amazing condition for its age and just has one minor ding where a lazy tech tried to adjust the truss rod without removing the neck and a couple small holes where a Kahler lock nut was removed from the headstock. Otherwise pretty much perfect. I don't even have it in hand yet, but I can't wait!! Feast your eyes on this:

You'll be catching up with DeGenaro soon!

Not really. One has to go to fund this (at least partially. gulp... ):

dont you have one of those steve?

Yeah man - that is mine. And as far as I know, there is no other GMW in existence like it (Tele headstock on a Star) and never will be again since Lee can't make 'em anymore... As I said, gotta sell it to fund the Charvel...

Dang man, I wish I had the coin for that guitar. I dig it!

Installment plan? ;)

What can I say - I love how it looks and sounds, but I just don't enjoy playing the Star body shape. I've been looking for a trade for this guitar for months and got lotsa offers, but when it cam down to it, no one came through...

As much as I would love to, it would go against my better judgement. Man, I'd really like to buy it!
