Yep, you can. I don't know what the deal is, but you just need to recreate them as they are and all should be well. It's as if the upgrade added a hidden character to all the old links and screwed them up. I'm surprised you've let your defunct sig go for so long.

That looks sweet Steve. Now just rout the bridge pickup for a humbucker, put a Floyd Rose on it, change the three mini toggles to a 5 way switch, scallop the fingerboard and have Lee do a hot rod flame paint job on it! :rock:
