i wont get too hung up on the first date, theres alot to learn. ive owned and played too many amps over the years and have a pretty good idea of what i like and dont like, but i hate to give a great review after such a short period of time, i figured i would share some of my thoughts because i was such a hater for so long, but i definately feel like a changed man haha. im not gonna say anything crazy like this is my favorite amp or greatest amp i ever played. ask me about that in a year from now. what i will do is keep a open mind and give this amp every chance to shine.
i have a bunch of guitar with low and medium output pu, i consider the pearly gates pu in the lower to medium output range and thats the guitar i wanted to use for ch1 &2, i wanna try that guitar on channel 3 tomorrow, i use emgs alot but i still like to use passives too. i think the sd alnico II pro with be a pu that i will like using with this amp or maybe the burstbucker custom.
i wont be able to play it at all over the weekend because im going to see metallica at the apollo theater, you can be sure i will be jammin again on monday haha!!
