No one has the KH modules yet. They haven't been released. We have lots of them on order already and our order was in way before any of the big stores or big online places so we will get them first. We always get the new stuff before the big places do.

Only KH modules that have shipped are with completed heads. Some (one?) dealer(s) are selling seperately. Module shipments to follow in 3 to 4 weeks, but in first batch - KH2 is already sold out from pre-orders, KH3 and KH1 are not far behind!

Each module is a completely different pre-amp in it's own right with 2 12ax7s and components tuned for custom voicing.....that said there seem to be about 4 different 'voices' with components tuned for taste but this reflects really the mod market..how many takes are there on modded Marshalls for instance?

Hmmm...that's what I thought too but FMM's stock shows they have 4 KH1s, 3 KH2s, and 4 KH3s. I know they were doing preorders for awhile and said they should have them sometime this week.

Had it confirmed from Jon that they ordered complete heads and are pulling modules to sell separately...not sure if they're all 'in stock' there yet though..some may be in transit.

I heard them at NAMM. I was very impressed, especially with the KH-2. I wasn't sure if Kirk had it in him to help develop a cool sounding amp, so I walked away surprised and impressed.

What kinda power-amp would you recommend for the rpg1000? Would you go SS like a mosvalve, or some kinda tube power-amp? I'm just running it through the effect return on my vtm, sounds good, but i know it can sound better.

I may 'pre-order' but am leary of doing so based on availability date I was give on the KH-3 from elsewhere..I actually ordered the day they were available..we're 4+ weeks after that day now...go figure

Depends....if you want that normal Randall SS tone, go with an SS, If you want to worm it up go for a Tube..... OF COURSE.

I used it with both a Randall Power Amp and also a Mesa 2:90, with great results from both.

Yes, of all the KH-2's I have ordered, six of them are still available as pre-orders. I don't have them yet, though. Us and FMM are supposed to get the first batches of individually boxed modules.

Last year we got all the stuff from the NAMM show including the Brahma and Super V that weren't even available yet. Well those Namm show ones turned out to be kind of pre-production ones. They still did quite a few tweaks to them after we got those early ones. I have no knowledge of where the current KH modules came from, but our experience is that we are going to wait until they finalize production specs and start shipping them in boxes.

Well, the guy I heard playing through it was very much an EVH sounding player and it really did a convincing job of the brown sound and then got heavier and more liquidy from there. It seems to have better clarity than the Lynch or XTC.

I'm dying to try the KH2, KH3.

I've got the Grail module....but I'm not a Recto guy, and it really doesnt "do it" for me, I may try and swap it with someone for another module here pretty soon.
