Maybe wait for the upcoming prototype skank fx MKIII MMXIV SP1, Rev A RFC 1.01 with orthogonal vector matrix curvilinear Laplacian extended midi XL support.
 
Looks pretty high tech. I had an Ultra & even that was 50 times or more than what I needed as a fairly serious guitar player.
I'd be interested to see who primarily makes up the Axe FX user demographic, because it's a seriously deep piece of equipment & not for the feint hearted. I don't believe that your average teenage prog rocker uses the AxeFX to even a fraction of it's full capacity.

Added a FAS link---Copy of RJMs pedal to rack unit. Memory and extra exp jack.

How much memory do you need for a marshall plexi, delay and tube screamer :lol: :LOL:

I was really expecting more of a change and maybe effect only single space. :gethim:

I actually have no desire to upgrade, the upgrades are for power users who were running out of memory or want complex looping functions.

I bet animals as leaders was a major proponent.

I also don't use the mfc so the fas link doesn't attract me either.

I don't use the front input either.


I am so suprised AND elated I feel no GAS over this one.

Well until they drop the floor unit OR bass unit. Damn I'm gonna have lots of fractal stuff....the year is not over for fractal, they mentioned plural products coming.



Also dont kid yourselves , this is NOT axe fx 3 , that is still on the horizon.

This is like the ultra was to the standard.
 
Meh, not interested. A Kemper II would have pissed me off though.

Well Duh...MFC 3 to go with the new plug option.

For the record I think the ethernet cord connection was the dumbest idea I have ever seen. Weak connectors :gethim: So they upgraded to a MK II version wtf
 
Looks like it's a buyer's market for the 1st 3 versions of the fractal

Shit....I had trouble comprehending all the possibilities with the Standard. :D

If you have the tech chops, I'm sure it's awesome, but just thinking about a more complex version gives me a headache. :lol: :LOL:
