I don't think that was really Rob's motive, at all. I think he was just pumped.

Mark told me they were A/B'ing the new CCV against the old Steve K amp today, and everyone seemed to agree the new one was better.

I can tell you that I personally played the amp, and really dug it; had I not, I wouldn't have posted a trhing.

Steve, I read the post where Dave said he didnt say that. As did everyone else that has read this thread. Im just saying what else are they going to say? The new one sucks compared to the original CCV. Of course they are going to say the new ones are better. They are trying to make money right? Im not directing this at Dave, just the post. So whats not cool?

Quick, send me an old and new CCV and I'll test this theory extensively.

Seriously though, i would expect the new amps to be better. Keep in mind I've never played or even seen a Cameron amp in person. I am friends with Mark though and talk to him every so often. Anyway, with his current business situation, I feel that he can make the CCV to the exact specs that he intended it be from the start.
That's not to say there aren't some amazing CCVs out there now, but Mark told me himself that there were times when he used cheaper parts for some of the amps, and that they sounded very similar. Now he has consistency. Either way, I'm sure any Cameron is great.

Honestly for all the guys involved in resurrecting Cameron Amplification I believe that their reputations are more valuable to them as industry professionals then a few clams they'll make selling a boutique high gain amp. Brad, Dave and Rob are all top shelf. Why do you think it has taken so long to roll this wagon out? I know why cause I've watched them first hand go through the whole process from the beginning, it's because they wanted it done right and right sometimes takes time. I've played the new CCV in 2 previous development stages and I thought it sounded great both times I played it. Super 3D and chewy., very powerful and fun. So if the finished product is superior to the 2 versions I've already played then it's probably pretty f**kin good.
