Are SLO's really that good? I had one for like a month and I remember it being really fatiguing to my ears. I should have tried different tubes. I did love the build quality. Do you have a youtube SLO clip? I would like to give a SLO another spin maybe with different tubes and cab. CCV sounds great

I used the 2008 CCV settings btw. ;)

I listened to the first three clips before scrolling down to read everything else. I was thinking, "Now THAT sounds like the first clip of Mark playing at the NAMM booth". I guess that clip from 2008 was the first time that I could really hear what the amp sounded like, or was capable of, and I have wanted one ever since then.

Oh my god seeing your clips makes the waiting even more painful!!!!! I just love you playing Todd!!!!!

Todd Duane from Minnesota, began playing guitar at age 14. Jump ahead a few hundred hours of practicing and a life long passion towards the instrument to July of 2008. Guitar World Magazine listed him as the 3rd fastest guitar player on the planet. Despite his speed and technique, Todd places importance on song writing, melody, feel, tone & pure attitude.

Todd Duane is - quite simply put - an absolute legend. He is easily one of the fastest alternate pickers to ever touch an electric guitar. On top of that he's one of the cleanest players alive, even while shredding at the speed of sound.

His self-titled Shrapnel Records debut is still considered by many to be one of the scariest instrumental guitar albums ever released. Todd has also appeared on classic shred compilations such as "Ominous Guitarists from the Unknown", "The Alchemists", and "Guitar on the Edge" series. He was an award winning trumpet player in high school, dabbled on the drums, but his love was always the guitar. Todd attended the prestigious Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood. There he studied with guitar greats such as Paul Gilbert, Frank Gambale, and Scott Henderson.

Duane then moved to Vienna, Austria. There, Todd was the head of the Rock Guitar department at the American Institute of Music. In 2002 he released an instructional DVD on the Chops From Hell label. In 2004, he and keyboardist Lalle Larsson recorded a full-length album under the name "Electrocution 250". That album, entitled "Electric Cartoon Music from Hell", received rave reviews from guitar sites across the net, as well as being praised by the popular UK magazine "Guitar Techniques".

Todd is endorsed by Ernie Ball Music Man strings, DiMarzio pick-ups and Evidence Audio Cables.

Good chops Todd. Every little clip you do on the CCV causes about 50 guys here to "shart" their pants.

Now, what I would like to hear, since you are taking requests :D is a short and simple A/B of the CCV and SLO, just like that clip. I really need to shake this SLO urge. When you get time of course.....

Steve

Okay Here is the SLO-100 at under 1 on the volume.

Thanks for that dude....nice crunch and thump - and tighter than a frog's ass. A totally different beast for damn sure, compared to the current fleet.
