My band spent the last two weeks working on 2 demos. One of the songs I think some of you heard already, but its been slightly re-worked. That song, called "Do It Again", we wanted to revisit to A) Add some balls and make it more rocking and B) Replace the guitars previously done with a Behringer Ultra G with Eggie. The other track, "Distance", is a dont-call-it-a-modern-power-ballad power ballad. You can hear them in ultra-compressed streaming mp3 here:

The drums we had done for awhile. Our bass player came in an banged out his track for Distance. But for the most part, it was (RockStar)Nick and I having some fun with the MOD 50, a bunch of modules, and some of our favorite guitars and then spending hours trying to apply basic EQ and mixing knowledge that we picked up on the net and via trail and error.
So, Im sure Nick will correct me if Im wrong about any of this, but here is the breakdown on gear and modules for the tones best I can remember.
Do It Again:
Clean Arpeggios: Tele into BMan Channel A
Gritty Arpeggios: Tele into BMan Channel B, Bright On 1
High Gain Rhythm Left: Suhr Standard (Mahogany / Maple Top) with DSH+ into SL2 Channel A. Gain about cranked.
High Gain Rhythm Right: Les Paul Studio w/ Duncans into E-Rect Channel A. Gain about 2 oclock.
Solo is NOT Eggie. Its from the original session. We liked the performance so we kept it. Probably Behringer Ultra G.
Distance:
All Cleans: Tele into BMan Channel A
High Gain Rhythm Left: Suhr Standard (Mahogany / Maple Top) with DSH+ into E-Rect Channel A. Gain about 2 oclock.
High Gain Rhythm Right: Les Paul Studio w/ Duncans into SL2 Channel A. Gain about cranked.
High Gain Rhythm Center (for pedal tones Tele into BMan Channel 2, Gain pretty cranked
Bridge Raw Part: Suhr Standard (Mahogany / Maple Top) with DSH+ into SL2 Channel A, gain at Noon
Bridge "Wait For Ever" Part: Same as High Gain Rhythm without Center
Bridge Build Out Lead: Tele into SL2 Channel A, Gain about cranked.
Ebow part is NOT Eggie. We liked the performance from a scratch version so we kept it. Probably Behringer Ultra G.
We're going to start work on more demos which will be 100% Eggie on Friday. So, we're curious what you guys all think of the tones and tunes (good and bad please).
PS - These are two of our poppiest songs. We are not a "BREWTALZ" metal band by any stretch, but rock harder than this usually But that said we always concentrate on hooks and melody. So, we're not for the metalheads Just wanted to say that before you all call us a bunch of pussys!
