New Egnater Mod 50 in da house!

Hi all,

I just got a Mod 50 yesterday with 6 modules (T/D, Bassman, COD, VX, SL2 & EG5) and was up til 3:00AM last night playing...I have not done that in a while at least at home anyway!
I recently sold my Diezel Herbert and have been playing thru my Axe-Fx Ultra which is awesome but I was wanting another toneful tube amp and boy did I find it!

The EG5 was definitely my fav high gainer and the VX and COD really suprised me with amazing tones. After hearing clips, I want to try an EG3/4 for sure, nice full, round & uncompressed medium gain tone.

This amp is amazing...Egnater oozes tone! :thumbsup:
 
Congrats! Welcome to the Egnater madness....

The Mod 50 is definitely one of the top amps out there! Wouldn't part with mine. :rock:

BTW - MAS = Module Acquisition Syndrome.

I have been the proverbial "fly on the wall" sort of speak and have been reading this forum for quite a while but have not participated.

Now I will be active on this forum and I know you Eggie guys are a good bunch...thanks for making feel at home! :rock:

Geez...you're right! I have had the amp for 24 hours with 6 modules and I'm already talking about another module. God help me! :lol: :LOL:

Now you'll need to try power tube swaps, more modules, modded modules, pre amp tube swaps, etc. Welcome to the madness :thumbsup: :rock:
 
Ya, it gets bad around here... I thought a Tourmaster would prevent MAS but it doesn't... it makes you think about a second amp...

We got rules around here though... PICTURES!!! PICTURES!!! PICTURES!!!

Looking at your avatar I just realized your in Florida. Checked out your website and saw you have a store in Lakeland Florida. I have a dealer in Auburndale (Marshall's Camera) and used to visit the Camera Shop in Lakeland before they closed.

Next time I'm in that area there I'll stop by to say hi. :)

Yep, I'm in lakeland and I knew the Camera Shop as well. I used to buy stuff there.

I am running the Mod 50 into a Diezel 4x12 cab with vintage 30's and an axe-fx ultra for processing...Ridiculously great tone! I am really bonding with the VX module. You can run a strat on channel A with modulated delay and nail Edge's tone, flip over to channel B and slay Brian May type tones. This module just freakin' kills!
