2 years later and we have seen another picture.

I should probably just look more into the Fryette.

The magic dust reveal. You saw it first on Rig-Talk Ladies and Germs.

Not a big secret, we have answered it hundreds of times. It's 2 EL34, 1 12ax7, all-Tube, Class A-B 50 Watt Power amp. Can be mounted in a rack drawer or on a pedalboard. And no, it isn't going to be $3k. Final info and pricing should be out in the next month or two. LOL. Forums...

Cool, forums LOL...the guy who makes people not want to buy Fortin.

Thanks I guess. You make it seem like you guys have actually answered these questions hundreds of times. I mean, I do not see any replies anywhere about that stuff. Anyway that is actually good info I would highly prefer EL34 vs 6L6 guess we will wait for pricing. $799 should be fair - $1,299 expected.

No, people love buying great products. Not really interested in dealing with nonsense and people's opinions of me that have never met me. Our booth at NAMM was utterly slammed with hundreds of people 98% of the time. Crowd control called on us 5x in one day, you'll forgive me if I am pretty sure people are interested in Fortin, and we are stoked. I digress though, because I am not wasting my life on a pissing match with some forum guy trying to bait me. The nonsense exhibited consistently on these forums is why people don't come HERE very often, as well as forum traffic slowing dramatically elsewhere. as is readily apparent, even more so when moderators on this site admit members are making up fake profiles to argue with themselves. :D And yes, I personally have answered it at least 100x.

Either way, if you guys want to know something, feel free to email or message us. We respond back usually within 24 hours, although, fair warning, we are still a few hundred emails behind from NAMM. We will let you know details and specs if we are able to at that point. As for $799 being "fair"? Maybe made in China with overseas parts and labor. I would expect more in the $1200 range, which is actually ridiculously fair for what this is. :) . We should have final details sorted in the next month or two, but one thing I can tell you, is the only real difference from what we exhibited at NAMM, is that the fron/back panels will be matte black as well, more in fitting with the MONOLITH theme. SHould look sweet.

Looks good. I like that it has big plate transformers instead of the toroidal stuff.

I’d be interested as a means to power modelers and a pedal rig.

Yeah for sure. For me, this would simply be to beef up my pedalboard rig. Seems like it would be perfect. We will see.

That is the idea! Add a little more tube warmth and balls to the digital stuff and be a convenient touring solution for the pedalboard rig guys. I think it will be killer. My bass rig is mainly a pedalboard right now, but looking forward to snagging one to power a cab to move some air onstage and not just through the mains. We are super excited for it, and it got awesome feedback at NAMM, where we ran the digital Fortin plugins live through it and into one of the new cabs. Sounded killer!

I think Fryette was coming out with a new power amp aimed at the digital market awhile back the LXII I believe. I think that was going to be running at around $1200 as well. I dont think it ever came out though. Maybe Synergy killed it/took its place. Hell the 30 watt Mooer one was $3-400 dollars. I would expect a U.S. made 50-100 watt to be more. The Boss Tube Amp Expander looks killer. I for one would like to see more tube preamps/power amps come out. Like a late 80's/90's resurgence.

The Fryette basically became the SYN-5050... 50w per side stereo 1U for $1200

I would imagine for the application this would be the #1 product. I've been looking and there is really nothing else like it. Between being a dedicated power amp with this small of a footprint and possibly (assumingly) not being flat AND having EL34.

Will definitely have my eyes on this.

Any more news on this power amp? I’ve really been back into my ISP preamps these days, but they sound the best with a tube power amp. I have the ISP Stealth solid state power amp, and it sounds great, and perfect for a small footprint rig, but when I pump my Theta preamp into the FX return of my 2203X reissue, whoah... a whole new dimension opens up.
So would love to put it though a Fortin power section.

Also following for updates. I just got a Ceres and have really been wanting the monolith to juice that badboy up!

I have my a Ceres on order and have been thinking about some sort of power amp with it. I would love to get an EL34 power amp.
