New Friedman JEL20 sounds killer.

sounds boxy and hollow in petes vids. didnt watch the others, nielsens tones never do anything for me :dunno:

something about his vibe i never dug, hes just got some kind of smugness or something with those silly faces he makes talking all quiet that just annoys me, combined with average at best tones ill pass lol
 
Man, I love me some Michael Nielsen... love his tone and his playing style. I'm more into his style of 80s metal playing than the heavier stuff that a lot of folks here like though. I love reading his responses over at that new forum that broke away from TGP too.

it actually sounded pretty good where the OP had it queued up to, then he hit that crap boost that he always uses and the sound went to shit like usual

Yeah, I love the tone right at that point where I queued it up. I think I would get the amp just for that plexi channel and the second channel is an excellent added bonus.
 
Got no problems with Nielsen either. He seems like a decent dude. Have liked a few of his vids. Didn’t care for the JEL in his vid though. Had a certain clank that went beyond “plexi brightness”. Felt the amp probably has to lose too much treble or presence to try and get rid of it.

His use of shitty, bright, harsh IR's ruin every amp he demos. Hate his videos.

Pete tends to use cabs more, his are typically much better. I absolutely hate IR's.

Agreed, EVERY single vid of this amp is an Ox box into processor/IR's ect -guess what that's Not how the amp will sound when you plug into it. I have one coming this week and will do a comparison to my V2 Taco with my iphone (which captures exactly what it sounds like in the room) into a real cab with an OD into the front then compare it to the V2 Taco
