New George Lynch guitar

It looks pretty sweet. I remember seeing press on it maybe 6 months or so ago. Ebony board is the best part about that guitar, but the rest of the guitar is good, too. $1300 for an LTD is a little much IMO, but then again I always felt the Lynch sigs were overpriced. I have a 600 series Lynch Tiger and I don't see the Burnt Tiger having any significant advantage over mine.

I think it's kinda cool. But was George's playing a bit of a mess in that video or is it just me?

Yeah, I hate to get on the "George cant play like he used to" thing, but that was not his best. Struggling with that tone it sounded like to me. Im not sure I would have released that to market as is.

Yeah, that flat out sucked! Cool guitar that I don't want.

Edited my post after listening a few times. I think it's more his tone I don't like there.

Find me this one and we'll talk ...

Love the look of that body. Would love to see it with a toasted maple fretboard.

Makes me think circa 2002 Affliction brand clothing and gold pinky ring needed to complete the "look" of that one.

I saw this on Zzounds.com and thought... why the **** would you make it an LTD model?

Sounds like George has been listening to some old VH judging by the riffs and early licks in the video. He def. needs to solo with more gain and bite in my opinion but overall, I have just learned to appreciate him for the nights he is "on".

I like the guitar though and love ebony fretboards! They just feel and sound right to me. Wish it had a neck single though. like me some beef on fast runs.

Guitar is cooler in the video than in static pictures IMO.

I think he's trying to 'grow' and get comfortable in his old skin ... using lots of Jeff Beck as a template.

Kinda like it....Lynch has always had great guitars through ESP.

EDIT....just watch the video, seems like latter day Lynch, definitely not enough gain...reminds of latter day Page in comparison.

That playing on the video is like, ????

Steve

If he would just stop being so set on no gain and "expressive" playing and just gain that shit up with an OD pedal in front of his amp that would give him some sustain, it would all sound a hell of a lot better. Someone needs to tell him to revisit his notes on what was used on the first LB album.....or send him an SD-1 in the mail.
