I wonder if Brent has a bad taste in his mouth after the Epiphone signature. He claims he didn’t get any money from that deal because of the Gibson bankruptcy.

You’re probably right. But I think that just provides Gibson a great opportunity to redeem themselves with a huge artist which would lead to a lot of sales. I was legitimately irritated when I first heard rumor of an Adam Jones silver burst Flying V sig because I didn't think he even played them. He certainly wasn’t known for it, like Brent is. I still think the guitar is cool, it just didn’t make a lot of sense to me.
 
This guitar is a perfect tribute to the band: Overly thought out ideas that eliminate the clean & efficient way of doing things for the sake of impressing their fans looking for details that are (air-quotes) "different".

Yeah I definitely think of Brent when thinking of a silverburst Flying V, not Adam Jones.

Side note, back around ‘10 or so I had the opportunity to get a silverburst Flying V custom. I still regret not grabbing it to this day. Not one of my finer moments lol.
 
Someone mentioned Epiphone. This Epi V is awesome looking.

Probably 7 or 8 years ago I saw a Gibson thunderhorse on reverb for about $900…and passed on it. Now they’re like 5k, so I feel you on that. It’s hard to know when prices are going to skyrocket or that you may never see something again 😵
