New John Sykes Eddie Trunk story.

Didn't you already comment on your dislike of Ed in another post where he was discussing John ? Is it necessary to post your distain for Eddie in every post he is in talking about John Sykes? Not trying to be a dick here and call you out ,but this was a very interesting story so I'm sorry if you can't get past your distain for Eddie to enjoy it.

Fact is Eddie has some first hand knowledge of behind the scenes info that hasn't been shared until now and some of us Sykes fans may find interesting.
 
I can appreciate the Winery Dog lineup, but HOLY SHIT........short of an original Blue Murder reunion, this project would have been amazing with John. Although maybe I am just starved for fresh Sykes content, and merely "wishfully" thinking about it......because the songs did not really blow me away, when he recorded them later, with other musicians.

Let Mr. Sykes RIP w/o trying to profit off his career. Oh career yeah if you have one you don't leech off others cuz you don't.
Bring this up a 3rd & 4th and ill do the same thing skippy.

What isnt BROADCAST RADIO a big enough trunk platform ?
Lets see he did metel show on cable which was cancelled and what else ? Got his stomach stapled. Sounds like a well rounded career.

You are coming across more jealous of someone having a show than anything else from your constant Eddie bashing rants maybe have a beer or something and chill a little bit .:D
 
John Sykes is one of those guys who's a monster player but his career seemed snakebitten or self-immolated, depending on your perspective.

It's crazy how someone can have every advantage possible and just shoot themselves in the foot over and over and over again.

It really puts it into perspective how lucky the people who do "make it," are - the actual talent level is completely unimportant (ala Dave Navarro or Kirk Hammett) its 100% about looks, luck and personality

The Metal Show was a bit different, with Ed's regular broadcast he most times interjects himself to much into the conversation. Here he's just given his recollection of things but he can be annoying during a regular interview when it all becomes about him. That's really my only gripe of Ed.

Agreed.
That was a cool story about what almost was.

I like Kotzen enough. Just the story of him getting kicked off the Poison bus is good enough for me.
But Sykes with Sheehan and Portnoy would have been awesome!
