new Linkin Park

For me more like there were already bands like Deftones and Korn that were setting the standard, Linkin Park was just a little "soft" I thought, but OK. For the millenium bands, Slipknot was a little better I think and early Stone Sour, plus Disturbed going into the 2000's. Though honestly it was more like Children of Bodom and that kind of metal that I kind of gravitated to after the 90's.

Also for the record, Boomers don't "Lay it Down', that would be Gen X, and Ratt's awesome too. I miss the days when Rig-Talk had the compulsory "Lay it Down" demo of new gear.

They were in the “radio metal” category for sure. i remember them playing ozzfest 2001 i think it was when they were blowing up, they were on the second stage still and it was totally mobbed with people and they stole the show, i think not long after they got moved to the main stage

when chester killed himself, i was like "oh, so he wasn't just cashing in on the 'angry white boy' rock/rap thing". in a weird way, i guess the suicide solidified him as an "real artist" to me. this new girl looks like chester after gender reassignment surgery. maybe chester isnt really dead. he just went a way for a while to transition. band blows though. i hate that whiney shit.

I'm glad to see that they are back and think she sounds wonderful.
Always enjoyed their melodies.
