I have a 412f from 2006/07ish is that an old cab? I Bought it from tone merchants... I dont know but i can tell you that cab sounds killer. One other question it has v12 speakers? They were the custom speakers available at the time has anyone heard of them? What do they compare too speaker wise..

Just to shime in, I have the Herbert and the new FLG12K100 cab. That combination is killer! Love the tone and after years of searching I found "MY" tone, so thank you very much!
But I wanted to add a comment to one of Duolos replies, that the new cab sounds awesome with other amps aswell. Here, in my hometown, several bands and studios come to me and asks if they can rent or borrow my cab, because it sounds better than anything they´ve heard. THAT`S amazing! And some of the amps that works very well with the new FL is, 5150, Dual Rec., Marshall DSL and several ENGL amps. But nothing compares to the Herbie

anyone compare the diezel cabs with mills acoustics cabs? difference being?

yes peter has to eat too, but I still feel the prices should be lower, 1200 for a cab was fine....Everything else on this wicked planet is down, but some things are still going up, go figure.

I have both the new Diezel front loaded w/ g12k100's and a Mills Afterburner with 2 V30's and 2 G12K100's. I think the Diezel is a tad brighter, more articulate and tighter. The Diezel does not lack low end by any means though and the Mills isn't too bassy or muddy. The difference in speakers between the two cabs probably plays a big role in what I'm hearing though so take that with a grain of salt. They are both great cabs and I'm stoked to own both. Using just one cab I do think my VH4 sounds best with the Diezel cab but it sounds better through both cabs at the same time. One rear loaded Mills + one front loaded Diezel =

And if the mills was loaded the same way the diezel is , do you feel it would sound the same? Did you order the mills with those speakers? i didnt see the g12k100s listed on their site?

No, I don't think they would sound the same. The Mills quite a bit taller, wider and deeper. Plus it's rear loaded vs the front loaded Diezel. I think they would sound more similar but still not the same.

My Mills came with all V30's and I swapped out 2 of them for G12K100's. Mills does put G12K100's in their cabs if you ask for it.

Those are Eminence speakers, more or less the V12 Legends or the like. I may be wrong, but this is my hunch and I have heard them, and I'm not personally keen on them. I do have a Soldano 4x12 loaded with "custom" V12's as well, and it kicks ridiculous ass. But as for the Diezel cabs with Eminence, they're mediocre in my books.

Peace,
V.

You see, I find this interesting because I have the SuperV12 George Lynch Eminence speakers in my Diezel 2x12FL and it pretty much kicks the snot out of the G12K100s that I tried in there. It's a dramatic difference with clarity, punch and bottom end.

It may be a little off-topic but what would be the best option to get one of the new Diezel cabs here in the Netherlands?
I already looked into Musicstore.com, Musik-Produktiv.de and musik-schmidt but all seem to sell the old USA build cabs loaded with V30's... :(

I really want to get me a G12K100 FL cab.

The Lynch Superv12 is a totally different speaker.
If they weren't so damn $$$ here in Australia I would be ordering a pair to go with my texas heats. I have decided to try the cannibas Rex instead.
