It`s lovely! :)
Chub, do you know if warmoth drill all the holes required? Like pickguard mounting etc?
Did you order the tremolo from Warmoth as well?

I`ve been spending a lot of time on their webpage the last 4 days, because I`d like to have a go at a single PU Warren De Martini-style axe. But I`m not good with woodwork at all, so I`m afraid of screwing something up....:D

I ordered the tremelo direct from Callaham. They do not drill all the holes required. The frets normally need dressing. I always have my parts guitars assembled by a pro and get a killer setup on them. I have had friends who have done the assembly themselves and that can be what seperates the guitar from just being a pretty good kit guitar or it feeling like a pro level custom shop instrument.

I was going to get that body (at least I think it was that one). I went back a day or two later and it was gone

Could have been the same body but..... I checked the showcase everyday for rear routed, painted bodies
when I got to work. This one wasn't there at 11:00am. At 4:00 pm it was there. At 6:00 pm it was mine

You might have seen it that day but this one didn't sit there long.

Exactly! Swapping simple electronic/mechanical parts is one thing, but trying to put together an instrument is totally another. Just like medical instruments need calibration, so does a musical instrument to get the best from its potential. Spend the extra dough with a qualified luthier and have it done right....especially on a "parts" guitar that you've purchased with the features that you wanted for the guitar that supposedly fits you.

Normally, I wouldn't go for the ceam pickups and rings, but that's one sweet lookin' guitar.

How about a couple of picts of you holding it? (not the guitar)

How many do you need? Geez! Guys don't send any nude pics of yourself to Barzini. Once he gets one he starts blackmailing you for more, or else......

I love the neck! I have a hard time telling from their showcase pics how birdseyed the necks are.

Chub, That looks good and has caused me to want to order a neck and body from them as I have all the other parts for a strat laying around.

Why did you sell the Suhrs?
