Mai-own-ez

Dawid says it towards the end... He definitely would know ya know haha!

Maybe so. But he sure doesn't know how to pronounce Wenge or Qatsi haha. The interviewer and John said it right though.

This limited MBC Duvel run was brought about when your dealer's owner David went to Mayones to spec out 20 Duvels. Mayones decided to do them as MBC's and sent them to him and guitar guitar.

Awesome guitars
First time in a long time I've seen a guitar that dropped my jaw

Yeah, that's what he told me as well. I initially contacted Guitar Guitar, but they wouldn't return my inquiries. The folks at Omega are very professional. :) I wonder if they're doing another run?

Congrats! Awesome guitar. Was looking at them as well, as I also have one of the Koa top Duvells (got it from Guitar Candy also in Belgium).

I'm surprised about guitar guitar. They were very responsive by email. I mostly used their chat window. They shipped same day and used Fedex Priority. It was here next day.

Beautiful guitar. Congrats.

Now, not trying to shit on your parade but, at this price-point shouldn't your first two come with perfectly cut nut and perfect fretwork?

Yes. They should. But that's not the way the world works sometimes. There's nothing really "wrong" with them. But there are noticeable defects. But they were bought used. So I have no way of knowing if that's how the left the factory.

The regular Duvell Elite I have is just an "off the shelf" model. It has tool marks on the sides of the fretboard, the side of the ebony board is chipped where it meets the neck pocket (I figured they thought nobody would notice or care since it's practically under the top at that point, but I notice), the input jack has one screw put in at a wonky angle, the selector switch is a bit wobbly, and the guitar always goes slightly sharp for some reason (not the nut, I checked it. so I think it's maybe the neck?). But again, maybe the previous owner did some of that stuff. No way of knowing.

The Koa one has a few slightly dead spots on the neck where some notes don't ring out as well as others and it was a pain in the ass to get fret buzz to go away but managed to do it. It doesn't have any of the other cosmetic defects as the other one. But it's a bit "stiffer" to play. It also goes slightly sharp for some reason just like the other one.

This third MBC one is perfect. No defects. No dead spots. Rings out perfectly. Intonation is perfect. Tuning is perfect. Never goes sharp. Never goes flat. Best guitar I've ever played, not that the other two are bad. In fact, they are are all lightyears better than my Les Pauls in every way. And they are all better than any other guitar I've played. But this MBC is the best of the three.
