Wow! What an amazing guitar! Are Chubtones still around the 1500$ mark or are these days long gone?

Looks amazing man! What pickups did you go with?
Thanks D. I went with Seymour Duncan Cool Rails neck and middle. And splurged on a JWP Godwood for the bridge.
Turns out the Godwood isn't a good fit sonically for this guitar, so I'll be swapping it out.

I own one and if I had the $$$ to spare at the moment I'd get another as well lol. Hardest part for me was making the jump the first time, well worth it. And I've got alot of idea's for another, hopefully one day.
Haha same here. Far too many ideas but not enough bread to go with them.

If you went with a single humbucker, a Floyd and non-figured neck you'd probably hit that mark

wow that is pretty sweet looking, but I've got to ask, what is the neck profile on this? from the side shot the neck looks huge to my eyes
Nothing like any Charvel I ever owned from the 80's unless you went with the "holldsworth" neck

What a beauty!

Looks like neck shape #2 but just a guess from the rounded C.

too bad you're not in the Boston area i would love to check one of these out :)

To my knowledge Curt uses the most common Charvel profiles from Pre Pro to 1985.

I splurged a bit on the roasted flame maple neck and JWP bridge pickup which pushed the price north of $2000 USD.
But a more straightforward build can come in under 2K.
I want my next one to be exactly like this except with chrome hardware

Now that looks incredible.

Just saw a post in a charvel thread with someone saying Chubtone picked up where Charvel left off in the 90s or whatever, a true hot rodded Superstrat.
