So, the way it works is that you have the telephone game with a middle man. You don't get to talk directly to Jackson. I had read all the horror stories on the forums already. It was scary for me, because I am very particular about certain features. Like the Reverse headstock, single volume (inline with the bridge)/single humbucker (no switch, neck pickup, middle pickup, tone knob), and rear control cavity are all very important to me. I was really hoping it was neck through and not bolt on. They did good on that. They nailed the finish. But the things that they got wrong: I didn't want inlays at all (I actually am kind of a fan of the way the inlays look on this one, though), I didn't want the v-plate for the string through, I wanted a clean mount for the pickup, I wanted a speed pot for volume, and I wanted a custom/59 pickup. I am fairly certain they gave me a jb bridge. Fortunately, I like the Jb so far, though I probably have a couple spare custom/59s laying around, and definitely have extra sd low friction pots. I may rewire it, if it gets on my nerves. But all and all, like I said earlier, after waiting this long, when he sent me a pic of the finish product, I was like, ok I can't wait to play it.I've heard this over the years about them fucking up custom orders.. how the fuck does that happen when its literally written down spec by spec. Shit like that annoys me.
