Whoa :inlove:

That guitar is a stunner!!! Absolutely beautiful. Huge congrats, I'll be drooling over this one too (along with your PRS SC)

I don't have the PRS anymore, though. I sold it because my LPs were getting all my attention. But its top was definitely cray-cray.

Congrats, its nice to see a happy gibson customer and a positive thread without alot of bullshit.
Im glad you found a gibson you liked, i personally love the R9 and i dont mind the BB either. The necks are great and the custom shop has a nicer feel than the regular usa stuff.
Mark is a great dealer and has a nice selection.

I hear you, I'm a les paul man myself.

Definitely some good ones to be had out there. Seems like you found one!

Love the top. I'm a fan of subtle flame tops or plain tops with a good grain pattern.

I'm a sucker for quarter-sawn fiddleback flame. That way you get a really tight, uniform checkered pattern. But this top isn't quarter-sawn. :( But it has character. I really like the mineral deposits. :)
Oh wow, I only could see the first 3 pics at work today. You can see a lot more flame on the other pics.

I think those shots slightly exaggerate the flame. It's not as apparent in person unless you're looking at the right angle. But that's a good thing I think.

Well, I have to say this guitar is great, because I just got a R9 about a month ago. Similar color and flame - subtle, but beautiful.

I have been playing it more than my Custom, probably because it's new. However, my R9 plays so well and sounds great. This is why Les Paul's are so amazing.

I swapped my my bridge p/u with a BK Black Hawk, but I might try a Black Dog too. The neck Burstbucker sounds really good. Let us know which pickups you choose.

Congrats!

I have Black Dogs in one of my Customs. They are thick and have a really unique and pronounced mid-range. And they're somewhat "vocal" sounding.

For this guitar, I'm thinking an overwound set of Riff Raffs.

awesome LP! Really beautiful!

Dont mess up the top like I did on mine R0. I got out the polish rag just out of habit when changing strings and now my top is shiny.

lol I like shiny. Because this one is VOS, that last polishing stage of production was skipped. So, over time the top will become shiny anyway. No biggie. :)

The mild flame and mineral stains make this one look much more authentic than most...gorgeous guitar with a correct vintage vibe, congrats
