Thought the new Charvels were decent but this thing sounds great. Neck isn't as nice as the JP6 but otherwise it is fantastic.

I loved the red one I tried last year at GC. Really fast fretboard!

Isn't somehow cheap feeling?
The headstock shape and the fact that it is made in Indonesia could lead someone to think it feels cheap. Personally, I don't have issues with them.

The fact that the volume and tone controls are useful is awesome as are the EMG and Sustainiac.

Na, i have a USA Schecter so I'm used to that headstock, which I dig, and I've played loads of very good indos. My gripe with some Schecs is the brand tends to put too much poly on their bodies so their guitar feel somehow plastic-y, and rely too much on nyato wood and other softer sorta mahogany timbers for bodies, which may get you troubles when the guitar features FR tremolos as the pivots tend to split the wood

The guitar is pretty light. The clear coat is seemingly thick.

Yup, nyato is often much lighter than mahogany, and mellower sounding, but also cheaper so it's first choice with imports. How do you like it compared to a Mexican charvel?
Also the finish looks damn cool, with they used it on other models too

I much prefer the Schecter. The tone is super balanced and the pickups are perfect for my preference. The EMG doesn't sound like the classic models.

I like the whammy bar setup but the trem doesn't float as easy as others. The whammy bar is held in place by tightening an Allen screw which is inconvenient when putting it in a case. A case like the JP6's would be nice so you don't need to remove it.

Good to know, mex Charvels are a reference in their price range, I've always thought some mid range Schecters felt cheap and plastic-y, good to know this one doesn't.
The whammy being a pain is to be expected I guess, it's a Special unit so as long as it stays in tune it's fine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Some off the cuff neo type wanking with Amplitube 5.

Some even more poorly chosen notes using the Sustainiac.
