Nice, Eric Peterson on GibsonTV

That guy is pretty chill and straightforward in his explanations. Cool stuff, and that LP Custom looks so awesome. Almost like a 54 carve? Thanks for sharing it Dan, I'll have to finish it later.

Just saw Testament a few months ago and they were great as always. However, I’m not expecting studio quality tones here but that sounded atrocious. It’s way over gained.

I'd bet he set that amp in a couple of minutes & said " close enough" his real tone is much better.

Yeah, I was gonna comment on the tone they dialed in for him there as well. Way too much gain.

Cool guy and killer band, though.

Eric is one of the reasons i wanted a Les Paul back in the day. One of my favorite riff writers ever.

I love Eric's playing and this segment...That much gain +EMGs??? ....Abrasive and ear fatiguing. That said, he typical has great rhythm tone...Especially with his Triple Rectifiers.

What\s he playing thru ? stealth?

Ok never mind . Red channel Gain about 1 o'clock

Has that fucking chirp over a fat ass, riding on a wash of shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that I hear in most “modern” high gain sounds. It started way back with the 5150 II and has stayed on through the EVH amps. His Recto tone was amazing and they got an incredible recorded tone on First Strike still Deadly.

Yeah, his tone was crappy, but if you want to hear godawful check out the Snake Sabo Riff Lords episode. Pukeworthy. Peavey should sue him for making a 5150 sound so bad in that video. LOL
