Yeah, I've done it before though.

@Racerxrated how much was it to ship that T75 cab?
It was 450 or even a little more….but back then I didn’t use a 3rd party shipper like Pirate Ship. Through them, probably half that.

Pirate Ship? Tell me more.
Pirate Ship is a 3rd party shipper that you can get pre paid shipping labels for UPS, USPS....and I'd say they are anywhere between 50-60% cheaper than taking your package to UPS hub(not the UPS store, which will add 30% more $). Just have to estimate the weight as best you can, UPS will bill more if you are off....but it gets charged through Pirate ship so you still pay less. Just go to the website and sign up, and grab a label when you need to.

Everyone recommends Pirateship but I was surprised to find they quoted me $25 higher than ShipNerd when I shipped a guitar recently. For the same service, signature confirmation, insurance amount. I don’t think I’ll use them again.

Hmm, next time I'll have to shop around a bit. Last time I shipped an amp to Cali from the upper midwest, it was 48 bucks. That'd be 180 if I went to the UPS hub, and maybe 250 if I went to a UPS store.
