Russia still has to sell those tubes and they mostly will still ultimately end up in the same amps. There just might be a new middleman or two.

Good point.. now if only they had a really good Chinese trading partner! Where could they find one hmmm.. Things may slow for a bit but you are right, you can't stop business driven demand and it will catch up. Wonder how Myasnikov will pivot with his preamps. He might have to start selling them via China. They might clone his clone

Yeah there's two sides to sanctions. And if your country decided to basically sanction the entire western world of your vacuum tubes...well...good luck with that.
