Noobish Floyd Question

I'm SOOOO glad I mastered Floyd setups a number of years ago. :yes: :thumbsup:

I would hate to be new at that stuff again. :doh:

my floyd is a biatch!!! 10-52's with 5 sodding springs! i only use it for dimebag squeals, but damn theyre fun :rock:

Dude you should be able to set it up with 3 or 4 springs no problem with 10-52's. I used to use my Rhoads V with 11-54 with 4 springs and it worked amazingly well!! With 10-52 i had it set with 3 springs and the action was perfect.

+1 I've never had more than 3 springs on any of my Floyd's. I heard an argument once though that 4 springs had the same tension as 3 springs if you had the same tuning/string gauge/etc. The way it was explained to me actually made sense.
