Congrats, glad you were able to track one down. I play mine every day.
Took a bit of time for me to get used to the bridge pickup, as I found it lacked a bit of lowend. But I've come to really like the feel of it. It's got some added layer/depth to its voice and touch compared to my DiMarzio and SD pickups.
It can handle modern rock, classic metal, hair metal and heavy alternative stuff very well. I can even squeeze some decent boosted metalcore out with it.
I use the guitar for Tool style tones and post grunge rock stuff mostly. The neck is great and it plays really easily, especially lead type stuff.
I also use it for clean ambient playing as the split coils and neck pickup sound GREAT.

Congrats

My Schecter C1+ had the 'Duncan Designed' HBs so I knew going it that they would have to get replaced. Too much buzz/fizz for what I wanted the guitar to do which is mostly my downtuned chugga chugga wiee wiee.

But otherwise, I was very impressed with the neck, fret dress, weight, tuners, bridge etc. Mine has a quilt maple top too. I knew a guy that was distressing/relic'ing those chrome pup covers and I think something like would look real cool on your guitar.

Here's mine:

True, it lacks some low end butt, but it's something you can expect from a Paf based pickup. Also it's an aspect I personally welcome in some bridge pickups, you dont get muffled as easy as a Jb for example, and cut thru the mix just as well.

Yes, true ↑↑↑. I've come to embrace it. This Pasadena set is definitely staying in my Solo-II Custom.
I have it strung with DR 10-50 strings tuned drop D down a half step.
It's just such an awesome playing and sounding guitar.

Problem is there are very few samples or vids about this model and those pickups (or even Schec pickups in general), and those few are always very modern metal oriented, which is not the league where they shine the most..maybe due to the fact that Schecter import series have always been associated with extreme metal bands and sounds. Also, the hype around Schecter pickups is litterally non-existent, and people tend to ditch them when see they are stock in Diamond Series models cause "eh, might be some cheapo stock pickups, gonna out some Juggernout", without even trying. But imho they have loads of personality, character, and tone.

They are great guitars, I wouldn't hesitate getting a third one.

God dang it man...HNGD! These are beautiful!

I'm intrigued. You guys are the eff'n best at clips. And as mentioned above don't want to take over the NGD thread....but...can one of you guys throw up a clip, maybe a different thread. Would love to hear one of you guys clip of this...honestly, I don't trust YT clips anymore unless i know it originated from you Guys ?

Beautiful , This is my favorite Les Paul type guitar . Slim neck , x jumbo frets . I wish they would make this in a lefty version . Either color would be fine .

I put it through it's paces last night. Turned out that it just wasn't getting along with my Zakk Wylde OD. I switched to the GT-OD, (boosting my Splawn Quick Rod), and it sounded much better.

The pickups are indeed very clear, and really shine for lead playing. Very articulate. I feel less inclined to change them now!

There's a learning curve to them, but once you're accustomed that's it. I can't get back to Seymours.

That’s a beauty! Love the color scheme. Congrats!

Yeah it's pretty sweet. Got it dialed in real nice, just need to get a case for it!

I just had a new nut made for mine, the EB Compensated nut was doing more harm than good. Oddly enough, I get the intonation better dialed in without it. Plus, it was cheap. It's set up well, it's a killer guitar!

Still working on my thoughts...at first I was underwhelmed but that's because I think I wasn't used to the pickups..as I began to dial and play more it started to make me smile...though I think Pus could use slight height adjust and no doubt I'll try new strings.

Pluses so far: Lot of guitar for the Money and impeccable fit and finish. The neck is surprisingly fast.....didn't really expect that from a Single Cut LP type guitar but it's thinner like a 60s LP or so.

Cons: None so far :D

FWIW: I have an old Schector Exotic C1 that's a wonderful guitar and that also came with self-made/wound Schecter designed PUs too with the coil tap. Same deal...did not know what to expect but actually one of my favorites (I had 3 at one point, not costing more than $550 used.)

so a month from the last post on this mutha-of-a-thread ...

and i'm still infatuated with this guitar...

any revelations since last post?

is it great out of the box, or is a pup swap the idea,,,and to provide some perspective, i'd say in the LP range of tone.

thanks guys!

I had a custom nut made for mine, the compensated nut was wonky, and I now actually have better intonation. I've actually been on the fence about the pickups, but if I do change, I'll probably go SD Custom/'59.

Plays VERY well. Outstanding quality.
