I think that Friedman is part of the back line at Lucky Strike Live. He still plays through the DSL when with Extreme.

He's in my top 3 of influential guitar players. I just really dig his style. As for the N4, I have played and/or owned many guitars but my '91 N4 just feels great to me.

Like playing for Rihanna? Fine. But when he plays by himself, I figure he could do something mildly catchy. The last good song he wrote was Cynical. I have never seen a musician as badly ruined by grunge. Kids started listening to Soundgarden and Nuno just shut it down.

Of course he can do whatever he wants like you suggest here. My point is had he not laid down legendary recordings with Extreme, this shitty YouTube video never would've landed on a guitar forum like this one.

We all chase are tails here, but really if we can't get great tones out of off-the-shelf Fender, Marshall, and Mesa etc. stuff, the problem isn't the gear... But it's still fun to play with new shiny things, don't get me wrong.
