I haven't found a photo of the Marshall for this particular evening but here are pics of what I was told is his rig for the most recent tour.

Here is a pic from the M3 festival a year or two ago. Back when he had the Randall's on stage. You can see the DSL to the far right behind the cabs.

I saw them earlier this year on the Pornografitti 25th tour...one of the best shows I've seen. The whole band was great but Nuno is a beast.

One of my all time favorites.

I have never played or heard a DSL until a few weeks ago when I got one in a trade.
Owned about 5 or 6 different marshalls thru the years at various times. Most of them were modded.
I was pleasantly surprised how good the DSL sounds and feels. I can see why Nuno is using it.

I played a DSL-100 with matching cab. Was the only tube amp in the room available at GC and I wanted to try a used Charvel EVH Art Series guitar so I plugged in. I kept looking at the cab thinking it was making the amp sound good. I was so impressed I decided to go back and try it again before buying it. Then I got a 5150 III 2x12 combo for my Birthday. So I never went back. But it was an impressive amp. And I don't impress easily. I might get some hate for saying this, it reminded me of old VH in the way he had a good amount of gain and not a lot of sustain. Chord decay reminded me of that. And I in no way had it dialed in. So I assume it can do better. Still want one. Maybe in 2016...

That's hilarious. I always wonder about signature gear and whether or not they actually use it.

Was it one of the Vintage cabs? Those cabs make most amps sound great. I had one with my DSL. I eventually "upgraded" to my first Bogner cab with V30s. I fought the speakers for a while, swapping two V30s for K100s eventually. I finally found another Marshall Vintage cab and swapped the speakers. Now my Bogner sounds awesome, lol. These Marshall-labeled V30s with T3987 magnets have all of the aggressive upper mid cut, but sound much less harsh.

Hey SLOgriff,

Thanks for sharing the YouTube video link of Extreme at the Ultimate Jam night at the Lucky Strike!! Here's Extreme playing their set at the same event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLfCZl3MT7s]

I'm a big Nuno fan myself. That guy can play any Marshall amp and make it sound good. The guy is talented guitarist whoever he works with.
