Digging through some YouTube stuff today. Nuno is, quite possibly, the best guitarist on the planet. He fuckin' grooves pretty much everything...

In my top 3 guitar heroes for sure. Monster player and songwriter
 
Crazy good. One of my favourite players for sure.
 
Same here. Incredible technique, musicianship and his sense of timing and groove are second to none.
 
I am the odd man out here. I am not a fan of Nuno, but, I do LOVE his guitar. I used to have a couple and they were amazing. My friend had a white Nuno and it was one of the best guitars I have ever played. I wish I still had them but I was forced to sell a huge portion of my gear a while back, and damn do I miss those. Great guitars.
 
Dude's a beast. Can play a lot of different styles, and does it with feel.
 
And despite his public persona he'll be the first one to tell you how great he is... trust me.
 
Dude is awesome....one of the guys who still represents, big influence on my playing.
 
Probably my single biggest influence. I never get tired of listening to him play. I feel he is very different from EVH. He has right hand technique like no other and a very percussive fretting hand.

His signature N4 is the most underrated of the super strats. Especially the first year guitars made by Stephen Davies. I own two along with a 93 Paduak. They are the most comfortable guitars I have ever played.

He's amazing...but difficult to work with and a bit full of himself. Funny Yngwie gets slaughtered for being an ego maniac and Nuno gets a pass apparently...

I think that one of the differences is that Nuno doesn't talk shit on other players... Yngwie does. He might be right, but he doesn't have the restraint(or care) to keep his opinions to himself.

For example, a concert was just announced that Exreme would be opening up for Poison and Extreme's fans went ape shit and started saying that Extreme is so much "better" than Poison. Nuno immediately posted on Facebook that he doesn't get the Poison hate. He said that Poison had more hits and sold more albums than Extreme. He also stated that he has played shows with Poison before and said that they absolutely bring a great live party on stage.

I concur. Although, like anyone, he seems to be hit and miss with his ego. The first time I met him, he was super cool, signed stuff and talked to us for awhile. . .extremely friendly and genuine.

The second and third times I met him, he was the opposite. Maybe his success changed him, or maybe he was just having a bad day/s?

Regardless, I LOVE his playing. Great musician, and big inspiration.

He gave MAJOR props recently to Richie Kotzen during one of the Monsters of Rock cruises. There's video of it on youtube.

I saw that FB post about Poison, and he WAS cool to do that...but he is not the greatest guy to his own fans or really at all humble about his own success. I've met him many, many times and know many people who know/have worked with him and they all say the same thing. Now, having said all that, he is THE DRY-EST, MOST SARCASTIC person I've ever met, so MAYBE some of his BS is tongue in cheek, but I doubt it...FWIW
