I heard the YJM for about 5 min yesterday. I thought it sounded much better than the AFD amp....going back to listen more today.

The Marshall "Wee-wee" sounds better than the "Appetite for Defication" ?

I heard the YJM for about 5 min yesterday. I thought it sounded much better than the AFD amp....going back to listen more today. The headshell on the YJM is very thick from front to back....like an old Marshall Major.

I will have to say that the only thing that pissed me off was overhearing the Marshall folks disrespecting Yngwie. They were telling their retail customers to not sorry about the fact that it's an Yngwie sig amp and that it looks like a stock plexi...blah blah blah. They kiss Slash's ass till no end and talk shit about YJM. Not cool at all IMHO...

but the real question is.... who does it REALLY sound compared to the Cameron Marshalls??

Meeting Yngwie was the highlight of NAMM 2008 for me besides getting to hear sah5150 drunk chugging on the see see vee in the Scameron booth. I'm still puzzled why they went ahead and added a built in noise gate? Why not just make it quieter in the first place? I read mentoneman's review about the YJM at TGP and he still preferred the RR Marshall which was also my favorite at NAMM 2008. The Slash one does nothing for me, the YJM still peaks my interest. Todd, see if there is anyway you can check out those new Celestion G12-50GL Lynch speakers, I doubt they'll have them to listen to though.
