lol it's just a string-ground. LP's from those years didn't come with string-grounds. So that wire gets rid of noise/hum. Most people drill a hole from the control cavity to the bridge or tailpiece and run a wire. I haven't gotten around to drill a hole in my guitar, so I just run that wire on the outside for the time-being.

Im just running my Axe Ultra into the effect return of my Mesa MKIII and 20th X now. Selling off my Empire of gear. Found the PCM70 reverb Brown face patch yesterday and

I've got several rigs, but I'm going to HAVE to post my latest object of desire... I LOVE playing this rig - and ya, the new glass in the Mak4 has notched this preamp up to the point where I believe it, along with the Axe-Ultra, is my future music maker... I'm holding on to my love for the Bogner 20thA XTC and the Diezel VH4S, but right now, this rig-on-wheels is KILLING IT!!! And the '57 GoldTop Darkback is my finest player...at least today.
