Okay I have some time with the JB vs. Distortion

I LOVE THE DUNCAN DISTORTION

What a difference.............
the JB is in my Alder Jackson and the Distortion in my Edwards Sykes LP.
I know 2 different animals because of the wood.

But the Distortion sounds so much clearer than the JB as well as more agressive.
the JB sounds very muddy compared to my ears. The Dist. is a little brighter maybe as well

The nice thing is I can roll the tone knob back on the LP and it sounds very different in a cool way. I feel I can almost get it like the JB.

I agree 100% with what you're saying about the JB ....I hated how it sounded in my soloist. Mud City!!!

CAn I ask what did you put in the Soloist? And did you ditch the JB?

Yup...I sold the JB to Mega. I wound up putting a Duncan PATB Distortion it the soloist. I sounded better then the JB for sure, but it was a bit compressed sounding. I would prob try a regular Distortion next time (it's not as hot as the PATB Distortion).
