Ola Plays the Helios 100- Is this a stock amp?

I stand corrected. The Black Sun mode is a mod.
My Helios most definitely doesn’t have that.
Having said that, I can get damn close to the sound/tone Ola gets in that video.(while using my Charvel Danhagge signature guitar)

Is "Black Sun" the same as the "Black Sun" mod I've seen on modded Monomyth amps? On those, it's part of the Depth/Punch/NFB circuit. The Helios already has that stock. But who knows what someone with a label maker has actually done inside the amp lol

I think a tech that had the amp posted on instagram. I can’t make out what is exactly going on. Presence moved to the back, added board around V1 and looks like maybe a relay next to the mid pot.

I wonder if you could just repurpose the EQ switch to toggle the extra gain stage on and off from channel 2, and leave everything else on the front panel the same. The Presence is way too useful and impactful to this amp’s tone to move to the back panel.

The Helios rocks. No mods needed, just a good boost will get you all that nastiness. Good tubes and biased right makes a difference as well.

Interesting. I'll need to compare that photo to mine. But from memory, there are already relays in the amp there. But from the parts poking up off V1/V2, it looks like they went ahead and made use of the empty triode, which makes the most sense to me.
