Here's the same builder's licensed KL. It looks like the guy does pretty nice work, but his personality is a bit abrasive. There's no way I'd pay that price for a guitar from him, even if he were the nicest guy in the world.

I spoke to ken earlier this year because i wanted some suggestions on which type wax to use on the finish, and while talking about that i also asked what his prices are these days, and its around 12k for a explorer with inlays and a hardshell case.

Hey man, do you still have the cocobolo KL i sold you years ago, that was a nice sounding guitar, it was my first KL and started my addiction hahah.

I do not but wish I did!!! Loved that guitar

michael stevens arts and crafted this for me in 1997. have yet to play an explorer i prefer.
