Anybody compared any of these and have any pros/cons of any of them? Any others I'm missing?

It's time I upgraded from my ~20-yr old homemade, non-isolated pedal supply. Not sure exactly how many ports I'll need but I do know 5 won't be enough.

I used a Cioks DC-10. Switched to a Zuma last fall. Zuma is way lighter and has more mA's per output, I'm using four 300 mA pedals Mobius, Timeline, Big Sky and a wireless. I had to use a wall wart for the wireless before I switched to the Zuma. The Zuma has easier options to switch the Volts from 9/12/18. Cioks has dip switches underneath the power cord which is a PITA when switching your Volt or mA options. I really like the Zuma, it's smaller and incredibly light, doesn't get as hot as the Cioks, each output has 500 mA's and the cords that come with it are more robust too. Both the Cioks and Zuma isolate well I never had any hum issues. Sidenote I do see a lot of touring guys using the new One Spot.

I use a One Spot.

I find them to be unreliable in the chain. It only took about 2-3 months before one the connectors in the chain died. When I plug multiple pedals in, sometimes the power cuts out for a second on the pedals plugged in. Lastly, I find that when I plug my wah in to the chain it makes a weird noise that comes through our IEM rack. I tested this with a Dunlop Crybaby, Crybaby Classic, and a Teese RMC2. The results were the same when I took my bass player's One Spot and 5 way cable. I only use batteries now.

I'd look elsewhere.

just get a voodoo labs pedal power II+ and call it a day.

Thanks for the feedback. bishop, was that a One Spot where you daisy chain everything or was it one with isolated outputs? I'm thinking of the Truetone One Spot Pro CS12 which is comparable feature and price-wise to the Strymon Zuma and the Cioks DC10.

FWIW, I think that power drop out is happening at an instant when the tip and sleeve somehow get common (only for a microsecond when plugging in...sometimes).

Thanks sleewell. I def had considered it but had read elsewhere that it is a bit noisy when you run cables near it. Which could be a problem on a pedalboard. It also doesn't have as much/many high current that the others do. And the Truetone CS12 is not that much more money. But I haven't ruled it out.

lol that isn't true at all. don't believe everything you read on the net. many pros use them for a reason.

It all comes down to what your pedals need for power, both voltage and current draw.

Just based on history, it will often change so I'm trying to plan ahead. I do intend to run a Mobius (300mA) and a Nemesis (200mA) and plan to add an H9 (500mA @ 9v or 400mA @ 12v). The rest (OD, Wah, Boost, EQ) should be 100mA...for now.

All Voodoo Lab power supplies are dead quiet with any cabling around it ... UNLESS ... you use some sort of a pedalboard patchbay/interface that does not have properly isolated in/outs.
I suspect (could be wrong) that if in/outs of such interface are sharing ground, the cable loop induces noise due to EMI.

I learned that the hard way and had such issues with:
- LA Sound Design PI-01
- Skrydstrup BF2M
Issue is very easily reproducible even with just a cable running to and from the loop, as soon as it's anywhere near the power supply there is a fair amount of hum induced.

No issues at all with:
- Empress Buffer
- Gig Rig Cinco Cinco patch bay

There is also no noise issues if you run your cabling straight through (i.e. not using a common patchbay or buffer for in/outs)

That Zuma looks kinda great! Definitely one to get a closer look at.
