Yeah, I hit up jmgman with that exact question.......how do you get them speakers out?!!

He told me just the middle section, and it's true. Just have to tilt them up or down and they will come out. Crazy I know.

I'm also diggin the 80's, but have a Scumback M75 HP with a H75 HP on the way to try in the cab. Just can't help myself!!  :D

I tilted them every which way and couldn't get them out. I didn't want to force anything for fear of tearing the surround or cone. I'll take another look.

I put my Scumnicos in the cab. At home friendly levels I think I prefer the Elite 80s. The Scummies sound a little compressed when compared to the 80s. To be fair, they are 100 watters and need more signal to open up. I played the cab yesterday at higher levels and the Scummies sounded great in the TM. They have more low bass than the 80s but the 80s have more lower mids thus giving the cab a little more thump at house friendly levels which I like. That difference disappears at higher volumes but I can't play at those levels as a rule. I'm going to try one of each if I can figure out how to change the speakers without taking the entire cab apart. The Scummies do have a sweeter high end than the 80s.

I may put the 80s back in. They just seem to mate well with the cab IMO. Egnater definitely knows what they are doing.

I had to dip the edge of the speaker down into the speaker baffle cutout a bit. Just tried to be careful not to push too hard on the grill cloth.

Yep, I"m not in any hurry to sell the 80's yet until I try the scummy mix. Those 80's sound pretty darn good.

I use a E80 and ET65 mix in my TM2X12. Sounds great. I actually just re-tubed with 6550's and needed to put the center piece back on to tame the lows. Sounds great and will leave it as is for a while.

Yeah, I've decided to keep the 80s even if I don't put them back in.

That's what I've had to do also. Believe me the Elite 80s will fit in that slot. with a few mm clearance! :)

I've put oh about 40 different speaker combos in my 2 TM212s ;) ahahahah

If you guys will remove one of the side handles it makes removing/replacing much easier. That's what I did here when we were messing around with different speakers.

PfffffffT!!What's that about twenty more screws

I removed the middle screen and tried one of the 80s and could see you can get them through the opening. However, alnicos are a different story. The Scumnicos have a taller profile and will not fit through the middle opening. Keep that in mind if you plan to try alnicos in the cab.
