I feel like I should get paid for pimping their product. :D
Yeah, because of this thread, 17 emails have gone unanswered.

  Nah, I'm not going to bother to send one.....

Better tone for the rest of us then! :D :D :D

It is what it is.......
However, I may change my mind once I get the single coils I got from you installed......

FWIW, I contacted Arcane early August and had a trem-spaced Brownbucker and matching neck pickup within 3 weeks although it did take a few days for first response. I finally installed the Brownbucker in my Warmoth and it is too twangy/bright and the bass is a little boomy...all things commonly attributed to A5 magnets. It has slightly higher output than I expected. Clean it sounds great and huge but dirty it gets twangy and the bass can be a bit too much (depending on amp). Almost like a massive single-coil type of sound (which would be perfect for some). I'm trying to get Rob to let me try an A2 in it. But I'm wondering if it will then essentially be the Wayne Charvel pickup mentioned above (not that it really matters). It is right around 9k.

I tried contacting Arcane recently a few times to place an order, no response. I recieved a Arcane Lynch pickup in a trade a while back and think it's a good sounding pickup. I would have liked to try another model or tweaked version of that.

Anyway kinda off topic but since I couldn't get a hold of them I spent the money on trying the new Bare Knuckle Impulse pickup which I like a lot. So I guess things worked out lol

What do you think of the Impulse? Could you compare it's output/push to something on the hotter side from BK. I recently tried Rebel Yells and while I really like the tones, they aren't hot enough for me. The Painkiller on the other hand is damn near perfect for my tastes.

I have had the Rebel Yell and Painkiller. The Impulse is pretty different .The Rebel Yell has a prominent upper midrange, and a bright top end. I like it in the right guitar .....The Impulse is a lot fatter on the low end and low mids. The easiest pickup to compare it to would be a Black Hawk, Impulse is like a fatter version of that.

Painkiller is also voiced differently, I would say the PK is a bit dryer and has more upper midrange crunch. The main thing is to match the correct BK with the natural sound of the instrument ...I tried the Impulse in 3 guitars and only loved it in one of them ....The other two guitars with the Impulse sounded a little bloated in the bass and just a little overly aggressive in the lower mids.

Thanks man!

Yep, have only tried the Painkiller and Rebel Yell in the same axe and really like either one in there. Prefer the PK though at the moment, although I'm going to play with the RY some more. Gonna try em both in an LP to and see how that pans out.

When Rob can respond to an email, I'll revisit; until then, arcane pickups don't exist to me.

Check out these videos that demo the Arcane pickups. What do you think?

I like a lot of there pickups but its always a matter of finding a good match. Some of my favorites are the Ceramic Nailbomb, Alnico Black Hawk , The Crawler ..... I Also like Holy Diver , Emerald, Rebel Yell, Painkiller

I feel the same way ! I tried several times to contact Arcane with no response so to me it's a lost cause.

Any other thoughts on Arcane's? I think I'm mostly interested in the Phil X, George Lynch and Bulldozer model. Maybe the Triple Clone. Can any of you tell me about those models or whatever other experiences you guys have had with Arcanes?
