Hey, I am debating between this, the new Rockerverb 50 mkIII and Randall Diavlo 45 watt or 100 watt head. I know the Jim Terror is good for slipknot stuff and from what everybody says, sludge metal, but I was wondering can it do thrash like the hot rodded early Metallica to their Mesa tones, as well as modern thrash like Lamb of God? Also since it is one channel does it not have a clean tone? How would you compare this to the new Rockerverb MKIII coming out?

no. its got lots of bass. you'll have to eq it to get it thrashy. It is good for slower stuff and where chords ring out.

i just remembered... i was able to get thrashy with my Telecaster bridge single coil into the Jim Root.
