out of all of you, how many have listened to the ascendancy album? i know you hate the crusade, just curious to see out of which of the haters have listened to the previous and by far greater effort.

I have. It's bland metalcore with shit lyrics and vocals. I REALLY don't like those guys and I'll think you'll find most people have already heard that stuff and don't like it either. It's not as if it's some obscure old cult classic. Still, atleast they weren't trying to be Metallica then.

Why does this bother you so much?
I've listened to Ascendancy, infact, I own it unfortunately. I thought it was OK at first, but then I realised how dull it was. Bland is a good word to describe it, as is "shit" when it relates to the vocals, lyrics and the long haired guy's vibrato.

I really like the Bogner. It's very different to the Mark IV, but I'm enjoying the difference. Extremely thick and chewy tones, and it can really roar too. Lead tones are, of course, spectacular - that's a given - and the Blue channel is just divine. I'm very happy with it right now.

Are you kidding me? The Crusade TEARS Ascendancy apart. Ascendancy is metalcore with solos, the Crusade is "modern thrash."

I should mention that I dislike the band because of the way they treated their fans at the concert I went to. You can see a little more detail in my last post in the other thread about this. The fact that the music is bland is just the icing on the cake.
