Who made that should be shot... It's 1600*1200, not 1600*1280...And I run 1680x1050. I feel special with my 20" widescreen. (Piss on you with 19x12 :P )

Haha, oops. :o However, 1600x1280 IS a resolution.

1280x1024, if I didn't have a smalll laptop screen I'd go higher

what does the screen res do exactly?

Sets the resolution of the screen. :D Basically, it adjusts how big/small things appear on your screen.

Oh, and I'm most amazed that my school runs 800x600 on their monitors....

According to my wife I'm a noob, a goob, and a boob. I prefer the later.

OK - your directions were almost correct for me, but I was able to hit some magic "intel" button which told me my work screen is 800 x 600. I don't know if this helps but I only use my work computer for accounting software and reading financial reports (and rig-talk). Obviously, I'm no computer grahic artist dude!!!

i changed the res from 800 x 600 to 1600x1280 and every thing was way to small what gives ?

What is this magic 1600 x 1280 resolution?

If I had two monitors that size, I probably would not have gotten my 30" screen. I did consider getting two 1920X1200 monitors.
