Man, I'm SO frustrated at the choices for president, not impressed. Hell I've never really been impressed with any of our choices.

What are your guys thoughts on our candidates WITHOUT getting into any pissing matches.

I'm curious, I'm genuinly concerned about the welfare of our country and hate where we are headed with all of the different B.S. everyone is so concerned about rather than trying to fix ourselves.

thoughts? vote on the poll.....

I will vote for Ron Paul for sure even though I am not Republican. Not only would he be a reliable president who protects our civil rights and liberties, but he knows how the whole healthcare system went sour after the 1960's. I believe in less government policing the world, and less dependency on oil, or any other foreign resource through invading.

I agree, and I find it very disheartening that usually the BEST candidates are the lesser known, or lesser liked of the bunch. Although I consider myself a Centrist (I dont like to affiliate myself with any of the parties, I just want the best person for the job.), I have voted Rep. in the past, all but once. I'm just having a real hard time with the MAIN candidates we have, I dont trust Obama, Clinton, or McCain, and I'm not so sure I like Huckabee either. So far out of all the candidates we have Paul is the only one who makes any real sense.(to me)

Once they get in the house, they're all the same. I'll pass.

I am a registered Libertarian, so Ron Paul of course.

I don't know about the three musketeers that are in the forefront, though. Whenever I have voted for the "major" nominee I have always voted democrat, and this election will probably be no different for me. BTW, the Bill Clinton years were very good to me

I am voting McCain. I like who he is and if we still need to be in Iraq, he can value live "differently" since he was in a war, seen his friends die and was a tortured POW for 7 years of his life. Some of his policies are a bit liberal though. I would never vote for Hillary or Obama. They are both major pieces of shit.... the people that vote for them, deserve them!
Fuck yeah we do!

Anyone But Clinton and yes, the Clinton years were very good to me as well but Bill had NOTHING to do with the prosperity that we enjoyed and anyone that thinks so chugged hard on the Kool aid.

Hillary is a piece of Shit, Obama is a smart guy but way too socialist for my tastes and I admire the hell out of McCain as a person but I think 7 years of intense torture at the hands of the VC have made him a little nuts like it would do to anyone. I dont like what hes said about staying in Iraq at all but Im hoping that its just a ruse to win support from the far right. Our troops need to come home, we can protect ourselves better here and save bigtime in both money and more importantly, the lives of our servicemen and women...

All that said, Im still not thrilled with the choices by any means but Ill probably end up voting McCain. IT doesnt really matter though, NY is pretty left of center so the dems will lock it up...

Where is the 'None of the Above' option. I don't really like any candidate.

For me its just Anyone but Hillary. Not a big Hill dawg fan

The candidates with an actual chance at winning are all pretty lousy in my opinion. I'm for Ron Paul in the primary but when the general election comes I'll vote McCain because he will be the most conservative candidate with a chance of winning (hate to use that word when talking about McCain).

McCain is like Bush, he's no conservative. The Republican party is in trouble and can't find a solid conservative candidate for the past decade while the Democrat party is at least solidly behind 2 liberals. It's a good time to be a Democrat, unfortunately.

The Republican Congress who brought you those good years says "you're welcome".

Now that the Democrats have been in control of Congress for a couple of years what have they done?

I admire McCain the most, but I will never trust any politician. Never. Certainly not one that his risen high enough through the ranks to run for Pres. You're voting for the lesser of the available evils, IMO. It's easy to see why somebody would vote for McCain...his strengths are obvious. Clinton....love her or hate her, she's smart, just like Bill. Smart would be a welcome change. And Obama, he's probably the most obvious way to turn 180 degrees from the current administration and that's attractive to most people right now. Pretty surreal to think that we could go from George Bush to Barack Obama literally overnight. It would be interesting to say the least.

I'm very curious to see who the running mates will be.

Clinton in the White House with a Republican Congress worked so well, and that is more than opinion, I have financial records to back it up

Clinton's first 2 years with the Dem Congress was a freakin joke, NAFTA anyone?

I don't think anything can salvage the current administration. I have disliked W from the beginning, and will continue to do so. Hells Bells I actually voted for Al Gore AND John freakin' Kerry just to try to dethrone the man.

Ron Paul FTW

We all have records of how well we did back then but the prosperity that we all enjoyed had nothing to do with the Clinton administration nor the republican congress of the time, thats a fact that youll never hear hard line dems own up to. Do some research on the Economic Tax recovery act of 1981 and youll see how the Government koffeurs were brimming with loot , couple that with the internet boom and what you have is what accounted for those times.. now those are facts

Im with ya, I voted for W 2x and hated the man but hoped for the best because the alternatives that we were offered just didnt appear viable to me. You also have to wonder; You never hear the end of how much W sucks and how stupid he is(amd Im not going to argue against that, its pretty much true) yet the dems still couldnt find someone to beat a president who will probably go down as one of the worst in our history, what does that say?

Not much of a choice but I have to look at the single most important thing a President can do to screw up the country, or not. That would be naming Supreme Court justices. So I believe McCain will do the least damage to the Constitution through his choices. No more Ginsburgs, please.

The press thrives on negativity. Every president is called "the worst president in history" at the end of his term. Carter, Clinton, Bush, etc... and now they're giving Cater Nobel prizes. Bush will not be remembered as a bad president after 10 years.

Exactly! The only thing Bush has been good at is appointing SCOTUS justices. We need 2 more younger solid conservatives on the court and then our country can weather a storm of Democrat presidents for many years to come. The Democrats are crybabies who try to legislate through the courts (when they don't like the will of the people they sue to get the people's will overturned) and we need a strict constructionist court to protect us from those who would destroy us from within.

Carter is getting his nobel prizes for his work with Habitats for humanity which has nothing to do with his presidency. His administration will never be considered successfull but Ill tell you this, I truly believe that he was one of the last honorable men that we had in the Oval office. I didnt vote for him and neither did my folks but I will always and I believe history will always view him as a man of integrity.

Clinton is hands down the luckiest president ever, talk about timing!!! Bush on the other hand will always be looked on as an idiot and a dark spot in american politics, theres no avoiding that. I do wonder how Clinton would have handled something like a 9/11( you cant compare the first WTC bombing to 9/11)
