Not sure if this has been mentioned here as dude isn’t really from the flavor dujor round here, but apparently guy has a made a literal career from ripping people off.....both content and product, selling transcriptions as his own

Good detective work went into it.....the side by sides are nuts.....guy is getting skewered
Granted the guy doing the outting is getting clicks on a monetized channel, but I think it’s worthy on the end result
Andy Wood has a great take on it and laughs pointing out Dude has 700k insta followers vs Andy’s own 70k

yeah I saw this.

As fucked up as it is, this happens ALL the time with these instagram dudes.

This dudes fuck-up was he stole from jack gardiner, who is big and famous and shit - this shit happens to small timers all the time and no one cares and nothing happens

100%....would make anybody leery of posting even a gear demo with any type of original music. Shit heads endorsements appear to be going away.

What a piece of shit....... so he's like the Mason/Vertex of guitar players......

THANK. GOD.

There is seriously no excuse whatsoever with this, ESPECIALLY since he SOLD tab books of "his" music

What a pile of shit

I am friendly with Levi who tried to be a go-between between Jack and italian douche, so I know a little bit about this situation. And I would not have been anywhere near as patient or nice as Levi and Jack were

This shit is rampant (especially on instagram) right now, and i can only hope that it stops people from being rip-off artists

I saw that he was actually caught last year and talked his way out of it, promising to give real credit and never do that again. Looks like he burned Keisel on a guitar too....

Have had tons of my art ripped off and sold by others as their own work.
Found out last year about someone in Ohio and China who had been selling my art as their own for years.
Def has made me post less of both in open settings and be leery/picky of sharing it.

Yeah it seems to be a common thread, as far as companies sending these social media fuckwits guitars, and then getting burned.

That black dude on IG, God of shred, or whatever his name is did that too.

It's a little eye roll-y because I know a whole bunch of real musicians who could use a new guitar a whole lot more than some rich instagram influencer who's going to rob them.

Damn stole from Tom Quale (sp?) too, that’s ballsy.

Don't get me wrong, its absolutely not ok what this guy did, no doubt about this.
But are people really suprised about this ? I mean since many years now, social media has been all about business and making as much money as possible. There are tons of influencers around that rip off other people and make insane amount of money. Against some of the crypto scams that some influencers pulled, the actions of this guy are pretty minor (again this is not meant as an excuse for this pos)
Social Media is the world of faking and ripping off. Its just the way it is. From saying "This is the best ever" until the next "best ever" comes up, to ripping content off other creators to pulling massive scams, sure the magnitude is obviously very different but the action is all in the same vein.

Yeah I don't think anyone is surprised by this at all.

The surprising part was just that people actually called him out and he lost sponsorships and shit.

Most of the time these people rip off small channels that have basically no recourse whatsoever

I don't give a shit about people in any sense using anything I have made, and I don't even care if they credit me. Just don't try to pass it off as yours.

This has been a stink on TGP for at least a week..

this is nothing new, that band Flaw got caught with i think a whole albums worth of note for note ripping off unknown youtubers a few years back.

And here I feel like a hack when I write a lead part with a measure or two that rips off Rhoads, Moore, EJ etc. & blatantly admit it.
