I have an Orville Les Paul that has been modified. In the bridge I just removed the pickup and it has the PAF sticker on it and another label that has this written on it:

#2 AL 5 Wound By PS

Can't find too much on the web other than a few similar pictures of the same labels but nothing that answers what pickups are these? Gibson, how old, what is it worth?

I’m not sure but if nobody here can answer go over to mylespaul.com and ask in the subfourum Other singlecuts. It deals with all things pertaining to non Gibson LPs.

My 1984 blonde 335DOT has PAF stickers on the pickups mounting rings. Gold letters (Pat.Appl.For) on black. Those were the first great Gibson replicas of their past great guitars. Great sounding ones and very expensive gtrs back in the day. I bought it in january 1985 and has been with me since then. It sounds amazing. Tim Shaw studied the old pickups and came up with these nice sounding ones and they are very sought after. KEEP IT! Too bad you don't have the other one. They go by te name of "Tim Shaw PAF" pickups. Those are GIBSON PAFs!
Here you can see a 335 with those stickers... is that the pickup you have?

It is Burstbucker Pro. These are BB2/BB1 with Alnico 5 magnet instead Alnico 2.

ad Tim Shaw...great pickups, PAF sound in every way. But they are not suited for metal. They have loser bottom end and too much mids for modern tones.

Thank you for the reply. I also apologize for being lazy about not posting a picture. I have the matching neck pickup but haven't taken it out to see the sticker on it. The bridge pickup definitely did have the black PAF sticker with the gold lettering on it.
Nice sounding but want something a little more larger sounding as I am used to EVH pickups, SD Custom Customs or JBs.

What does a set of these go for on the used market assuming the neck is a PAF one as well? When I purchased the guitar the guy said it had #1 and #2 in it.

I have no idea... BUT I would keep them!

The PS sticker indicates it’s likely a modern burst bucker
