My Nitro destroyed the 5150. Is yours KT88's? Mine tore apart the block letter.

It was EL34 based. My two biggest issues with the Nitro were: (1) it seemed to be awfully finicky to speaker and cab choice, and (2) it was a bit of a one trick pony.

I may be in the minority here, but I think the 6505 has more tonal variety. Also, it seems to be more forgiving in terms of speaker/cab selection. I thought v30s were king, but the vids above suggest otherwise.

I played a Comp a while back and that really made me want a Comp or QR.

It is a one trick pony. I totally agree. I think the KT88 version is a lot better sounding than the EL34, more massive and open.

Also i totally agree with it being very finicky with cab choice. The nitro is in a closet now. My Promod (KT88) is on a Randall cab with a pair of English T75's and a 15" eminence legend. It destroys. The Quickrod is a hell of an amp, but I always love KT88's.

I will scoop up a 6505 one of these days. It is not like they are expensive or hard to find... Lol. The market is soooo saturated. Next one I find in good shape that is under $500 is mine.

You can probably find a $500 ish 6505 on GC easily. And don’t get me wrong. I miss my Nitro, and if money weren’t an issue I would own it and the 6505.

I don't trust GC online. Two bad deals. Not doing it again.

Getting a "mint" ibanez prestige with a Jackson licensed floyd rose in it. Really? I will just look local. It's not like I have to have one here in 5 days. When I get one I get one. I have plenty of stuff to keep me entertained.
