This HP 2 is built from the last of Peavey's NOS wood. Longtime Peavey aficionados know that NOS wood was acquired by Peavey in 1996 when the company teamed with legend Edward Van Halen to design and build the ultimate expression of his creative vision. This massive stash of tonewoods included a surplus of bird's-eye maple, basswood, and other figured maple, which was intended specifically for Edward's design. For decades, this NOS wood has been aging in a climate-controlled facility, imbuing it with otherworldly tone and resonance, as well as incredible resistance to fluctuations in temperature and humidity. This HP 2 is constructed from the cream of the crop: an aged basswood body, an eye-grabbing flame maple top, and a bird's-eye maple neck and fingerboard. The guitar's body has been given an envy-provoking transparent finish, and its oiled neck and fingerboard have been given an unforgettable frosted look guaranteed to induce jealous stares.

Yikes.. If I didn't hate top-mount Floyd's, I'd be all over it. I can't get the action low enough, or I'd have one..

Are these pickups adjustable, or are they locked in where they are? Damn this is a great deal.. I'm very tempted. In Florida too, so shipping would be less...

Where are they made? Is the Floyd a Peavey branded 1000, or German?
