I'd look into a GCX switcher and Ground Control Pro.

i was going to mention something like that ...i use a Rocktron Patchmate 8 and a Rocktron MidiMate for my setup, i really like it and it's cheaper than a GCX setup. though i digress if you have a BE100 i am not sure cost is a huge issue

I just received a Rocktron Patchmate Loop 8 Floor that I intend to hook up and setup on Thursday when I next can get out to my practice space. It has 8 separate loops plus "in between" on all of them. It's supposed to be able to do channel switching also, but I really want to be able to use all 8 loops as my pedalboard gets more and more elaborate.

Depending on how this all works out, I'm considering getting a Rocktron All Access or GCP (I'm not really sure which is better) to do all of controls including channel switching (though I'll need an RJM to be able to do everything I want on either my Roadster or Sig X). The Loop 8 Floor is completely midi compatible. I'm thinking the All Access may play better with it given they are both Rocktron.

Hello guys.
Anyone have any thoughts about ES-8 compared to the OneControl Crocodile Tail?
The OC10 has 10 loops (3 of them you can sacrifice as footswitch to change amp channel and stuff).
To program its just like the G2, select the preset and press the corresponding button of the loop you want on that preset.
The Boss ES-8 cost $100 more than the OC10, is it worth it?

I have the Joyo PXL Live, but im annoyed by the pops that it does when i change some presets, so i'm thinking about getting either the ES-8 or the OC10.

Any thoughts?
Thank you guys!

I've got the OneControl and it works great for me. I do the same thing you're looking to have a do for you

Im leaning towards the Es-8.
What i like about the OC10 is the 10 loops and the easy to create/edit a preset.
Also, in the "Manual" mode i can still chance my amp channel, as if was one pedal. Im not sure if the ES-8 has this possibility.
Now, the ES-8 has lots of features that the OC10 doesn't. Like changing the pedals order, possibility of delay leaving trail...
One other thing that i like about the ES-8 is that I can, in any preset, set one or more bbuttons to act as a pedal, like the "stompbox" of the gigrig G2.

My gear is not complicated, and im afraid i will under use the ES-8:
Guitar > Digitech Drop > Fulltone Wah > SP compressor > Tube Screamer > DS-2 > BigMuff > Phase90 > MXR chorus > MicroAmp > Line6 DL4

I will add the Line6 M5 soon. Thats why im thinking about the ES-8. Since the M5 has distortions, delays, modulation, ect, i will need to br able to change its position in the chain!

I'm using a WOBO unit. Has worked flawlessly for years. One stomp operation for most of my sounds including channel switching my amp and controlling two different levels of reverb on my WET pedal.

Reza, that's killer! What board and case is that? Pelican?

Mine is like this, and im not sure if i upgrade to the ES-8 or OC10

How about RJM PBC? I am looking to get the Boss ES-8 or RJM PBC. I like the RJM because of the built in line mixers. The cost is up there $999.99. In comparison with others, I would have to buy additional things. The cost would probably add up. Probably best to get it in 1 box.

Nice Reza... How you digging that Whammy?? That stomp is the secret sauce to many progressive players' arsenals

I had teh Moen GEC9 and I only have good words to this router / switcher. I used it with buffer output. It is simple to manage and it is probably the best option if you don't need midi.

The price is quite good too.

Just bought a moen gec8 live. One less loop but more features plus midi. I'll review when I get it

Thank you brother!

That Joyo switcher looks great for the money. Especially with the midi switching. The more upmarket switchers are crazy expensive.

I use a Rivera RM1. It's worked perfect for years now. It's just a rebadged Glab. Great stuff and cheap from Rivera

Yeah, it really is good for the money... if you don't mind having some pops changing the presets.

For me its too annoying... I will probably get the ES-8.

If yours popped, there's something wrong. Mine certainly never did. Dead quiet.

+1 on the JOYO PXL Live

Yeah man, i agree. There's something wrong! But i dont know what.
What is your set up?

I have:
GUITAR, digitech drop, wah, pxl in (sp compressor, tube screamer, boss ds-2, bigmuff), amp effects loop, pxl return (phase90, mxr chorus, mxr microamp, line6 dl4).

The pop occurs when i change to a preset that has the phase90 or compressor or distortion. And a little when has the chorus.

I dont know what to do to solve it.

I have two friends that are having the same problem with pops.

I sent an email to joyo support and they didn't answer. That was one month ago.
Im loosing my hopes with the Joyo PXL Live.

Wow this is an old thread! Boss ES-8 Looks really good. Pricey yes, but pretty much does it all. Looks super easy to use. I have an EVH 5153 50 watt head which can accept Channel switching via midi Program change, so the ES8 replaces the amp foot switch for starters so i'm leaning that way for my "B" rig.
